Our Human Resources (HR) team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to provide administrative support to join our fast-paced Department.

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support and reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing monthly Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) Exclusions Checks.
  • In coordination with the HR Manager and CHRO, process NYS Unemployment claims and notifications.
  • Gathering documentation for Unemployment Hearings, Union Grievances, and other work-related matters; may include but not be limited to reviewing & redacting information, then distributing to the appropriate persons.
  • Gathering and processing all requests for records from various legal agencies.
  • Scheduling, confirming attendance, and distributing/posting minutes for monthly Human Resource Committee (HRC) meetings.
  • Providing monthly bargaining unit reports to the Union.
  • Notifying Union of bargaining unit terminations and other possible concerns as requested.
  • Maintaining HR files, completing audits as needed.
  • Completing employment and other types of verification requests and letters; including tracking and processing Employee Referral Fees.
  • Remaining in contact with program leadership to assist with monitoring agency employee on-call staff, sending inquiry letters as needed.
  • Processing/mailing termination letters including the NYS Record of Employment.
  • Maintaining performance evaluations in the E-Share platform.
  • Processing various HR related expenses.
  • Assisting with departmental filing.
  • Ordering office supplies, as needed.
  • Processing incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Processing requests for flower/fruit basket, etc.
  • Providing daily customer service to all staff, providing guidance and direction as needed.
  • Reporting all new hires and eligible consultants through the NYS New Hire Online Reporting Center.
  • Printing ID badges, as needed.
  • Keeping PERKS list current.
  • HR lead for all employee recognition related functions.
  • Providing back-up coverage for reception desk

This position must maintain a high level of confidentiality related to all job-related functions, and provide support, as needed, to the HR team.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/9:00 am to 5:00 pm

STARTING SALARY: $17.00 to $ 19.81 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ HR experience required.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint and a HRIS/benefits database.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in I/DD field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.81 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
