SCHOOL OF BUSINESS LECTURER, Full-time
The Calvin University School of Business is seeking candidates for a full-time lecturer to begin Fall of 2025.
 
REQUIREMENTS
The university seeks applicants with vibrant Christian faith who are dedicated to integration of that faith with their field of study.
 
Ideal candidates will hold a PhD, DBA, or JD in a related business discipline. Candidates with a master’s degree in a business discipline and five years of relevant business experience will also be considered.
 
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or master’s level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching using a variety of methods and instructional technology in a broad range of business courses, including accounting, management, operations & supply chain, and entrepreneurship.
 
The university will prioritize candidates with broad interdisciplinary interests, a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, an ability to integrate questions of meaning, significance, and ethics into all course content, and a deep commitment to engaging students beyond the classroom.
 
FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of this position will be teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. The teaching load will be 32 credit hours per academic year. In this position, candidates are not required to pursue scholarship or serve on university-wide committees, but active participation in School of Business faculty activities such as faculty meetings, student advising, and committees is expected. Candidates will be asked to affirm their commitment to the educational mission of Calvin University as a Christian liberal arts university in the Reformed tradition, affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. In 2021, the Calvin University School of Business (CUSB) received a generous $22.25 million gift to build a new facility, strengthen its faculty, grow enrollments, and become a premier School of Business informed and guided by a Reformed Christian perspective.
