As a cyber threat specialist on our team, you'll be trusted to help customers solve problems using the latest software, like Splunk. Using penetration testing, attack vector analysis, and threat monitoring, you'll work with multiple stakeholders to evaluate risk and make meaningful recommendations. You'll help monitor security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary. In this role, you'll impact DoD missions by performing critical risk assessments and recommending findings.

You Have:
2+ years of experience participating in blue team activities, incident response, or digital forensics
2+ years of experience with vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management
Experience with network analysis, vulnerability, and library discovery tools
Experience with cyber kill chains and defense-in-depth
Experience developing remediation steps, mitigations, and after action reports
Knowledge of DoD networks and communications, Windows and UNIX, TCP/IP, networking, and Kali Linux
Knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, including Router ACLs, firewalls, IDS and IPS, antivirus, and Web content filtering
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140 Compliant Certification within 30 days of hire
Nice If You Have:
Experience conducting defensive cyber actions and threat hunting
Experience with DoD or Navy cybersecurity networks, including RDT&E and operational networks
Experience with security testing tools such as Splunk, Kabana, Security Onion, Zeek, Suricata, Netsniff, Galaxy, Dagger, or Teleseer
Experience with vulnerability consolidation tools, including CodeDx
Ability to write shellcode on Linux
Ability to script in Python
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
CEH, OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, or CISSP Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
