Job Title: Counselor - Peer Supervisor

Reports to: Operations Director

Agency Overview: in2Action is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to providing transitional services for individuals with substance use disorders, with a special emphasis on those involved in the criminal justice system. Position Overview:

The Program Supervisor must be at a minimum certified as a CADC or CRADC. The Supervisor at in2Action plays a vital leadership role, supporting peer support specialists while managing three internal programs: Respite Care, Treatment Courts, and Adult Reentry. This position provides guidance and mentorship to peer support staff, fostering both their recovery and professional growth. Additionally, the Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall implementation, daily operations, and compliance for each program, ensuring alignment with grant and contract requirements. This role is essential for the effective delivery of services and maintaining strong relationships with funders, while supporting individuals in their reintegration and recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management:

o Oversee the daily operations of three internal programs: Respite Care, Treatment Courts, and Adult Reentry.

o Ensure programs are implemented in alignment with grant or contract requirements, including timelines, deliverables, and objectives.

o Develop and monitor program goals, objectives, and outcomes to ensure effective service delivery.

o Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations, to support program success.

Compliance and Reporting:

o Ensure full compliance with all funder requirements, including local, state, and federal regulations.

o Work closely with Grant Manager to prepare required reports to funders in a timely manner.

o Maintain accurate and organized records of all program activities, client progress, and outcomes.

o Implement quality assurance measures and conduct regular program evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Staff Supervision and Support:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to peer support specialists, promoting both personal recovery and professional development.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-one supervision, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate and oversee client staffings to ensure comprehensive care planning and coordination.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and competencies.
  • Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

Client Services:

o Supervise and coordinate case management services for individuals recently released from prison, ensuring access to necessary support for successful reintegration without directly providing case management.

o Ensure that clients in all three programs receive high-quality, client-centered services that address their individual needs.

o Monitor client progress and outcomes, adjusting services and interventions as needed to support recovery and community reintegration.

Budget and Resource Management:

o Manage program budgets, ensuring that resources are used effectively and in accordance with grant or contract guidelines.

o Collaborate with leadership on securing future funding and sustainability planning for each program.

o Identify and address any challenges related to staffing, resources, or program capacity.

Continuous Improvement:

o Stay informed about best practices in reentry services, treatment courts, and respite care to continually improve program offerings.

o Implement evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to enhance program effectiveness.

o Regularly review program policies and procedures to ensure they are current and aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Skills:

Leadership and Supervision:
Ability to lead, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering teamwork and professional development.

Program Management:
Expertise in managing multiple programs, including planning, goal setting, and daily operations to ensure success.

Compliance and Reporting:
Strong understanding of grant and contract compliance, with the ability to maintain accurate records.

Case Management Expertise:
Experience providing or overseeing case management services, particularly for individuals with complex needs such as reentry or recovery.

Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with staff, clients, and stakeholders.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:
Ability to assess challenges quickly and develop innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness and resolve issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Certified or Licensed Substance Use Counselor Credential (CADC, CRADC, LPC, LCSW)

3-5 Years of Experience in Program Management or Supervision:
Proven track record of overseeing programs, leading teams, and achieving successful program outcomes.

Eligible for Peer Support Specialist Credential or Equivalent:
Ability to meet the requirements for Peer Support Specialist certification, demonstrating lived experience and recovery expertise.

Experience with Reentry Services, Substance Use, or Mental Health Programs:
Direct experience working with populations involved in reentry, recovery, or mental health services, particularly in a case management or supervisory role.

Knowledge of Grant/Contract Management and Compliance:
Familiarity with managing program funds and ensuring compliance with grant or contract requirements.

Strong Communication and Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, engage with stakeholders, and maintain clear, effective communication across all levels of an organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
