Morris Brown College is seeking In-Person/Online/Hybrid Adjunct Faculty for the Psychology Department!

Morris Brown College Department of Psychology is seeking faculty in the following disciplines to include but not limited to: Various disciplines of Psychology and Counseling (See catalog on college website for further details).

Position Overview:

As an adjunct faculty member, you will employ a variety of effective strategies to enhance student learning, stimulate class discussions, and encourage active participation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate course-related records, promptly assessing student coursework, and providing timely feedback on their progress. As a member of the professional teaching staff, you will play a key role in implementing the mission of Morris Brown College and delivering high-quality instruction in your respective discipline. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively engage with a diverse student population and meet the standards set by our accreditation agency. Responsibilities may include teaching during the day, evening, weekends, and/or online instruction.


Qualifications:

· Adjunct faculty are required to teach one or more courses in which they hold at least a master's degree or have completed 18 graduate hours in the relevant subject area.

· Morris Brown College requires adjunct faculty to complete training and demonstrate proficiency in using the Learning Management System, Brightspace, before being assigned a teaching load.


Specific Job Duties:

1. Teach and conduct college courses for undergraduate students.

2. Prepare and deliver engaging lectures; stimulate class discussions using textbooks and other teaching materials.

3. Compile, administer, and grade examinations.

4. Attend virtual faculty meetings.
