Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Involvement, the Student Theater
Performance and Facilities Coordinator advises Rose Hill’s 14 performance-
focused student organizations, supports and coordinates these groups’
performances taking place mainly in Collins Theater/Auditorium, coordinates
preparation and training for students participating in these organizations.
This position requires the ability to work long hours and work with a flexible
schedule, including nights and weekends.
Essential Functions
Technical:
∙Supervises the Collins Auditorium/Theater facilities to ensure safe
operation by student performing clubs and organizations, including on-site
presence, walk-throughs with colleagues in Facilities and the Department
of Public Safety, management of work orders and capital improvement
projects, and safety-related monitoring of students activities.
∙Advises 14 performance clubs in various aspects of their operation from
the student government budget funding process, the orientation,
preparation, and training of student cast and crew; the scheduling of
rehearsals and performances in Collins and other spaces, the process of
designing and building sets in coordination with students, directors, and
outside contractors.
∙Supervises and trains Office for Student Involvement on-duty student
workers relative to oversight of performing student organization events,
rehearsals, access, and normal use of performance space.
∙Serves as main contact between the staff managing the Campus Center
Operations/Space Reservations staff and systems and the Student
Organizations and Programming function of the Office for Student
Involvement on behalf of the performance clubs and the management
needs of facilities.
∙Maintains and oversees the Collins Auditorium/Theater facilities including
routine on-site presence and walk-throughs with colleagues in Facilities
and the Department of Public Safety.
∙Assists in the organization of Collins stage area, upper rooms and
coordination of storage areas.
∙Operates and manages equipment including repairs, maintenance, and
needed replacements; coordinate these efforts with the Assistant Dean or
designee as determined by the Assistant Dean/Dean of Students.
Organizational and Operational:
∙Creates and nurtures Bronx high school partnerships to showcase
McShane and Collins Auditorium as spatial and learning resources for the
local Bronx community.
∙Coordinates (with the Assistant Dean) all contracts for spring and summer
conference guests in Collins.
∙Maintains a safe, healthy and clean work/shop environment; track
condition of and liaise/communicate closely regarding the condition and
upkeep of Collins to Facilities, Campus Operations and direct Supervisor.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
∙Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS or BFA)
∙Minimum of two years of experience working in a professional and/or
educational theaters or related environment
∙Some teaching and/or mentoring experience
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
∙Scene painting and carpentry skills and experience.
Minimum Starting Salary: $51,705 (plus Room and Board)
Maximum Starting Salary: $53,351 (plus Room and Board)
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
