The Department of Animal Science at NC State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position. This position, under the guidance of Dr. Christian Maltecca, will investigate the biological mechanisms of heat stress in pigs through multi-omics data integration.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting collaborative scientific research
- Writing journal paper publications and presenting research at scientific conferences
- Contributing to the training of graduate/undergraduate students
- Contributing to grant applications and participating in career development workshops and activities

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Work schedule may vary to include weekends and/or evening hours.Department Required Skills
- Ph.D. in quantitative genetics, animal breeding, and genetics, or a related field
- Ability to work collaboratively with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in genomic data analysis (e.g., variant calling, genotype imputation, GWAS, genomic prediction)
- Proficiency in programming (R, Python, Julia, or other)
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Strong background in statistics
