This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Lightwave Avenue and remote after initial onboarding.
Under the supervision of the Oncology Call Center Supervisor, the Call Center Specialist is responsible for typical duties, including: providing excellent customer service, answering multi-line incoming calls, connecting callers to appropriate services, taking notes from caller requests and documenting phone calls in Epic, routing messages to appropriate point of contacts, escalating urgent calls, completing the online registration, insurance verification, scheduling appointments for various disease teams and locations, securing authorization for scheduled services, and placing outgoing calls on referrals on referrals on MUC work queue. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThree (3) years of relevant experience working in a large healthcare organization.
Prior scheduling experience.
Experience with answering incoming calls.
Experience with insurance and authorization.
Experience with patient check-in/check-out and cash handling.
Demonstrated computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft (Outlook and Word).
Possess excellent customer service.
Knowledge of oncology.
Epic trained.
Bilingual - English/Spanish.
Call Center experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
