NH Alliance for Healthy Aging Communication Coordinator

Summary of Position

The Communication Coordinator is responsible for implementing the communication strategies of the NH Alliance for Healthy Aging (NHAHA) (www.nhaha.info). The position is a, part-time, 20 hours a week grant funded position. The Communication Coordinator is expected to work closely with all entities within the NH Alliance for Healthy Aging and with external stakeholders as appropriate to identify content, communication activities and other tactics to ensure consistent messaging and branding to NHAHA Stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing and two years’ experience or equivalent combination.
· Previous experience in non-profit or public health setting a plus as is experience in the aging field.
· Strong understanding of graphic design principles. Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop applications).
· Experience and competence with Mail Chimp and Constant; attention to detail as it relates to database management.
· Technical capacity to support web content management. Knowledge/experience with Word Press.
· Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail, and strong verbal communication skills.
· Experience in writing or curating content for social media platforms/campaigns; experience with tracking key metrics and reporting results to stakeholders as appropriate. Experience with providing content in alignment with best SEO practices.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Experience working across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

· Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
· Collaborative style combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment.
· Ability to work independently without requiring heavy oversight.
· Comfortable in an academic/nonprofit environment, with the ability to work with a wide range of professionals and work styles.
