Job Description

Under general supervision, will perform a full range of duties in the Moores Cancer Center and the Outpatient Pavillion pharmacy setting. Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications (includingantineoplastics/chemotherapy) for patient use for IV sterile compounding preparation &administration in accordance to established procedures under USP<797>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacy terminology and calculations.
Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
Strong detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.
Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple demand environments.
- Two - five (2 - 5) years of previous IV and Chemo experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $64,519 - $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $30.90 - $38.41
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
