CLASSIFICATION: MnSCU Academic Professional 1

STARTING DATE: Approximately November 12, 2024

APPOINTMENT: Part-Time, 3-year Limited Appointment. Day and evening hours.

SALARY RANGE: $23.63– $34.18/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide coordination and oversight for the Nurse Assistant Test-Out (NATO) program for the Customized Training Center.
  • Manage all phases of the NATO program to include marketing of the testing program, scheduling of test dates, oversight for registrations of test candidates, hiring and scheduling of Test Observers, Actors and alternates (and filling in as needed).
  • Ability to utilize technology and vendor software programs in order to set-up testing.
  • Clean up after testing.
  • Assist with linen ordering/coordinating of various supplies and on-campus laundry, monitoring inventory, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous work experience as a nursing assistant, licensed practical nurse or registered nurse
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to prepare for and manage testing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to network with others involved in NATO
  • Ability to proctor tests and observe candidates
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to learn, use and troubleshoot testing technology
  • Experience with multifaceted schedules and program management
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Flexibility to monitor testing activities during the day and evenings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and experience working with Headmaster program
  • Knowledge and experience working with rST
  • Knowledge of nursing assistant skills and procedures in order to proctor and assist candidates
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of equipment and materials in the lab so that they are used properly and safely by candidates and testing personnel
  • Ability to perform the repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure that it is fully operational and safe to use by candidates by regularly conducting tests of the working condition of the equipment.
  • Ability to oversee that equipment and materials are used properly and kept safe by verifying the presence of equipment, keeping an inventory record of equipment and supplies, and monitoring consumption of supplies by candidates
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • This employee is expected to develop a working knowledge of and comply with all college safety rules, regulations and policies.
  • This employee is expected to conduct himself/herself in a professional and customer service-based manner at all times to promote a harassment-free environment. All communications and interactions with internal and external customers are to be conducted with courtesy and respect.
