Job Description

SURVEY RESEARCH ASSISTANT/TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE 1, MIT Sloan Initiative on the Digital Economy, to  conduct and analyze survey data, ensuring accuracy and high-quality results; utilize advanced R skills for data wrangling, cleaning, and visualization; present complex information in a clear and understandable manner; document processes and maintain organized records; troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to contribute meaningfully to group projects.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or a related field; exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work; excellent organizational and documentation skills; ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions; proven experience in survey data analysis (please provide previous code examples); advanced proficiency in R, including data wrangling/cleaning, and visualizations; advanced ability to present complex information clearly; relevant research and/or work experience in survey research; excellent communication skills (verbal and written); ability to work in teams and make meaningful contributions to group/interdisciplinary projects; proven data analysis and visualization skills. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or a related field; coursework or experience in artificial intelligence, algorithms, hardware, software, and/or economics.
