HJF is seeking a Physical Therapist I to provide professional skills coordinating and administering complex therapeutic and clinical education programs for physical therapy.

This position will be in support of the Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE) at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. The EACE works to advance medical and scientific knowledge through relevant research that will optimize clinical care and quality of life for Service members and Veterans with traumatic extremity injuries and amputations. Responsibilities

  • Oversees the implementation of study procedures.
  • Plans and supervises a program of physical therapy activities for functional and supportive patients.
  • Modifies treatment as required and consults with head of section regarding long term planning.
  • Coordinates activities with nursing, social work and volunteer services.
  • Treats and/or supervises the treatment of patients.
  • Complies reports and submits purchase request for physical therapy activities.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of physical therapy materials and equipment and their economic and beneficial use.
  • OCS, SCS, CSCS, and/or TSAC is preferred.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret Clearance.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place in a hospital setting.

Compensation

  • The likely salary range for this position is $64,200 - 90,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final salary will be determined based on market analysis, experience, and education.

Some positions or sites may require that the incumbent be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination may be required.

Employment with HJF is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, contacting your professional references, verification of previous employment, education and credentials, a criminal background check, and a department of motor vehicle (DMV) check if applicable. Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
