The Opportunity

SUMMARY
Provide program administration, supervision of a specific program(s); may also involve supervision of program participants and assessing/advising participants. Provide program marketing and recruitment strategies creating/revising program curricula; monitor business/industry trends; partnerships with business, industry, community agencies
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist Program Director in the management of the program as needed.
Develop marketing plans and strategies t promote courses and to increase enrollment in the program.
Collaborate with staff and other Program Directors as necessary.
Develop, implement and monitor new programs based on community and business needs and input.
Define resources and schedule for implementation of the program.
Supervise the project team and manage conflicts as they occur.
Assess team and evaluate their performance.
Identify areas for improvement and implementation plans for improvement
Facilitate customized training needs as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in office operations, including supervisory experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Familiarity with and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations
Knowledge or familiarity with the following computer applications:
Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Internet Explorer
Blackboard or another major online course management system (CMS)
PeopleSoft or another major enterprise resource planning (ERP) application
Excellent organization skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to form effective partnerships and alliances to achieve common goals
Ability to work with a diverse student population, multiple communities and public agencies
Ability to manage complex processes
Familiarity with on-line technologies
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and creative in managing projects and identifying solutions to complex problems
