DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist assist with diagnostic angiographic procedures, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. The technologist is responsible for obtaining all equipment needed for a procedure, positioning and imaging patients, resolving equipment issues, and demonstrating knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation. Incumbent performs general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology. Contribute to and participates work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams. Other duties assigned as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F)
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R)
  • Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT))
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date
  • Experience in diagnostic angiographic procedures, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
  • On the job training provided by the CT modality.
  • Cross trained and competent in computerized tomographic procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) year or more of experience as a radiologic technologist
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include alternate locations, day, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call is required and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $120,478 - $149,835 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $57.70 - $71.76

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
