Your Role

The Product Strategy team is responsible for developing and executing on a transformative portfolio and product strategies that supports short and long term financial and membership growth across lines of business. The Senior Manager, Specialty Products will report to the Senior Director, Product Management. In this role you will lead a team of product managers to establish and execute our long-term and short-term product strategies for our dental, vision, and life products across all lines of business.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Develop a comprehensive vision and strategy for dental, vision, and life products
• Be responsible for autonomously accessing market trends, current product offerings and customer needs to identify new product opportunities
• Analyze performance of products and execute on recommendations necessary to achieve specific key performance indicators
• Execute a portion of strategic vision and roadmap to maximize membership growth and retention objectives
• Assist business case development/ROI analysis, feasibility, price modeling to provide new product recommendations to senior leadership
• Develop goals, objectives and actions plans for department, teams and individuals
• Be responsible for setting strategic initiatives for a highly complex and / or multi-line of business with significant budget accountability
• Partner effectively, manage relationships and lead discussions with key cross-functional leaders (General Managers, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Vendor Management, Finance, Actuary) in defining product strategy initiatives.
• Effectively socialize strategy while gaining alignment and building consensus with leaders
• Partner with medical line of business teams to identify process efficiencies across products
• Participate in overall strategic initiatives for the Product organization as a Specialty subject matter expert to ensure Specialty requirements are captured in investment priorities
• Serve as a product evangelist communicating the value proposition of the products and strategy

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Requires at least 10 years prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
• Requires at least 8 years Product Management, Management Consulting, or Entrepreneurship
• Requires at least 3 years of experience managing short-term and long-term product roadmaps
• Requires at least 3 years of experience managing product plan and benefit design for a Health Plan
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and program/project management skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level
• Excellent influence, relationship management, and engagement skills in building alignment and accountability without formal ownership or authority over talent resources within all levels of the organization
• Ability to present information clearly and concisely to various audiences
• Strong financial and analytical skills required

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 145970.00 to $ 218900.00 for California.
