Summary of Position

The NH Disability & Health Program (DHP) works to improve the health and quality of life for people with disabilities in New Hampshire by implementing evidence-based strategies to reduce unmet health needs, increase access to preventive health care, and facilitate the adoption of healthy behaviors.

The work location for this role is at the Durham Institute on Disability office. The role may be eligible for some remote work, with frequently required travel to UNH locations.

Other minimum qualifications

1. High school graduation and seven years of related experience involving duties of increasing responsibility requiring discretion and independent judgment; or Associate’s degree and five years of related experience; or combination of higher education (e.g., degree in progress) and related experience equal to seven years.
2. Advanced computer skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, database management, use of search engines, and other software applications as required by hiring department/unit.
3. Effective written and/or oral communication skills.
4. Experience with grant-funded programs, telecommunications, social media; generation, marketing, and dissemination of print and online materials.
5. Organizational skills
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, federal and state partners, and the general public.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Completion of courses in related subjects at the college/university level.
3. Experience in a college/university environment.
4. Experience supporting program evaluation.

  • Manage relationships through ongoing meetings and communications.

  • Expand social media presence; update project web pages; develop and disseminate quarterly electronic newsletter; monitor, promote, and evaluate reach and effectiveness.
