University Advancement has implemented a Hybrid/Remote Workplace. This is a hybrid position with the expectation that the employee resides within reasonable distance to the Durham, NH campus (under three hours) and is available to come to campus depending on the business needs of the team.

Other minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field and 1-2 years of experience in Advancement, preferably in development, donor relations or in an academic or comparable non-profit organization with donor relations experience.

Duty/Responsibility

Support of UNH Foundation and Emeriti boards
  • Update committee listings, term limits, contact information.
  • Update/manage all board information in Board Effect and Trax.
  • Update UNH website with board member term or committee changes.
  • Update Trax with any term or committee changes.
  • Coordinate reserving space, transportation, hotel blocks and other vendors for all board meetings.
  • Collect and coordinate all board book material through board portal including board bios, committee agendas, minutes, bylaws, contact information, etc.
  • Schedule regular planning meetings for Donor and Board Relations team and maintain notes and action plan from each meeting.
  • Create and distribute post-meeting survey, collect results.

Support of Principal Stewardship Plans
  • Schedule donor meetings as directed.
  • Coordinate logistics of any donor meetings including parking, food and beverage and reserving space.
  • Send meaningful digital stewardship such as thank you videos from scholarship recipients, letters and more.

Communication Project Support
  • Manage distribution lists for segmented donor email marketing content.
  • Support the Gratitude Project which will include list management, survey tracking and merging letters as well as coordinating the mailing of all student thank you letters, updating donor records in Trax once letters are sent.
  • Video creation and editing for donors stewardship campaigns and engagement.

Duty/Responsibility

Act as primary liaison to the President’s office for all related gift acknowledgments. Provide oversight of routine acknowledgments, including the drafting of letter templates.
  • Oversee the research, preparation, drafting and editing of highly personalized letters from the President of the University and the UNH Foundation President acknowledging major gifts to the University. In doing so, act as liaison to the President’s Office for these gift acknowledgements.
  • Provide annual updates to letter templates for standard tax receipts and other template acknowledgements.
  • Maintain metrics for acknowledgement letter activity.

Duty/Responsibility

Provide administrative support to Donor and Board Relations Team
  • Manage all invoices and other billing including maintaining the team’s PCard for purchases.
  • Pull various reports and lists as needed for donor and board engagement
  • Manage donor gift inventory.
  • Order all necessary items including stationary or other office needs for the team.
  • Update Trax with all communications and interactions for donors and board members.
