Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for full-time Laboratory Teaching Assistants for the Spring, 2021 semester. The successful candidates’ main assignments will be teaching six (6) sections of in-person (200 level) organic chemistry laboratory in a socially distanced format, holding scheduled virtual office hours, grading lab reports and lab exams, maintaining student records for your sections, attending weekly virtual TA meetings, grading lecture exams, and miscellaneous associated tasks. Expected start date is January 14, 2021. This is a one-semester contractual position with the possibility of a renewal based on performance and departmental need.
Minimum Qualifications:
A BA/BS in Biochemistry, Chemistry or closely related discipline is required
