Job Title- PT INSTRUCTOR-FORKLIFT OPERATOR (Pool)
Position Status- Part Time
Classification Title- Part-Time Workforce Continuing Education Instructor
Work Location- Cogdell Learning Center, 201 W. Florida Avenue Midland, TX 79701
Job Summary- Successfully instruct designated Forklift Operator Certification course.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of direct forklift operation experience
- Must be available to instruct in afternoons, evenings or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCCER
- Certification
- OSHA Instructor Certification
- Prior classroom or on-the-job teaching experience
Essential Functions
- Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the student
- Maintain a professional teaching environment
- Communicate with Training Coordinator regarding room, media and copy needs
- Maintain control of purchased supplies for class
- Provide students with evaluation forms for completion
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Use of manual dexterity
- The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move from office to classroom
- Office and classroom setting
- Duties indoors and some outdoors
- Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools and other equipment
Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary- $30.00 per hour
Max Salary- $30.00 per hour
