Ideal candidates will have some experience working with youth ages 6-18 in a similar youth
development program in a facility-based setting. They should be a creative, energetic, patient,
and hands-on person able to effectively communicate and work well with others in a team
capacity.

Specific Position Duties
This high-impact position is responsible for delivering a broad range of programs within a
designated Club. A typical day for a YDP could include participating in any of the following:
● Social Recreation, Field Trips
● Sports & Fitness
● Cooking, Dance, and Music
● Arts & Crafts
● Technology and More!
Responsibilities:
● Effectively implement, administer, monitor, and evaluate programs, services, and
activities to ensure the safety of club members, quality of club programs, and
appearance of the club at all times.
● Prepare, create, research, and write lesson plans as necessary in specific areas
● Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
● Promote and stimulate program participation
● Provide guidance and role modeling to members
This position may involve lifting (up to
25lbs), bending, standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, and grasping. Must be
able to demonstrate and/or describe activities to youth. This position works around youth and
adults with moderate exposure to noise. This position will work both indoors and outdoors.
Hours: Monday – Friday between 3pm – 7pm; (During Sports Seasons-open until 9pm)
Summer Hours: Club open – 8am – 5:30pm

Minimum Qualifications
● High School Diploma or GED
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
● Must pass the National Criminal Background Check and Drug Test.

Preferred Qualifications
● Spanish speaking preferred
● Experience working with youth and adolescents
● Ability to drive agency vehicles (must be 21 years old)
● Must meet licensing and insurance requirements.
